Glagolitic Small Letter Pokoji

Glagolitic Small Letter Pokoji at U+2C42 is the lowercase form of the Glagolitic letter named pokoji, used for the /p/ sound in texts written with the historic Slavic Glagolitic script. It belongs to the Glagolitic block and is a lowercase letter, paired with the capital form of the same name. In real use, it appears mainly in scholarly editions, manuscript transcriptions, paleography, and Old Church Slavonic language materials. A word containing the sound p may use ⱂ when the editor is representing Glagolitic text in Unicode rather than transliterating it into Cyrillic or Latin letters. The character is also useful in fonts, keyboard layouts, and digital archives that aim to support Glagolitic accurately. It is not a modern everyday letter for most writers, so readers are most likely to encounter it in academic, liturgical, or cultural-preservation contexts rather than ordinary contemporary communication.
