Toto Letter Ga

Toto Letter Ga at U+1E295 represents the consonant ga in the Toto script, used for writing the Toto language of northeastern India. It belongs to the Toto block, which encodes the modern alphabet created for the small Tibeto-Burman-speaking Toto community. In ordinary Toto text, this letter functions as a basic consonant sign and combines with the script’s vowel letters or marks according to Toto spelling practice. It is used in language primers, community publications, literacy materials, and digital text projects that record Toto words in the native script rather than in Bengali, Devanagari, or Latin transliteration. Outside community writing, the character is mainly seen in linguistic research, Unicode data, font development, keyboard layouts, and educational resources for preserving minority-language writing systems. Because Toto is not widely supported by default fonts on all systems, missing-glyph boxes can still appear on older devices or in software without a Toto-capable font.
